An opportunity to join as the Head of People & Culture leading a small People & Culture team in supporting 200 employees at Beyond Blue. This team’s responsibilities include culture and change, learning and development, recruitment, workplace health and safety, performance management, employee risk and compliance, payroll, remuneration and office management.
Reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer, the Head of People & Culture is an active member of the Beyond Blue leadership team, Health Safety & Wellbeing Committee and Reconciliation Action Plan Committee.
Beyond Blue is entering an exciting phase, bringing to life a new organisational strategy Beyond 2020. The Head of People & Culture will work across the organisation to support the strategic plan, while being responsible for the execution of the People & Culture strategy. Integral to this is a business transformation program of works outlined in Enabling Beyond 2020 (EB2020) that maps out a planned approach towards, agile project-based team.

Job Requirements:

Key Requirements
  • Lead and develop the People & Culture team (HR, Culture & Change, Payroll & Office Management)
  • Implement the People & Culture Strategy 2020 and develop and implement other strategies as required to enable Beyond 2020 and meet community needs.
  • Drive the development and implementation of focussed workforce planning processes to ensure Beyond Blue has the right people, in the right roles at the right time.
  • Ensure the People & Culture team's technology and processes enable and improve all elements of the employee experience.
  • Lead the team to proactively partner with people leaders to support team engagement, safety, wellbeing and inclusion.
  • Strategically develop the capability of people leaders and all employees to deliver outcomes for the community.
  • Lead the team to support people leaders and employees through a change, including a transition to agile project-based teams
  • Draft high-quality succinct reports for Chief Business Officer, executives, the board and its sub-committees and other key stakeholders as required
  • In close collaboration with the HSW Committee, develop and implement a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy and Action Plan.
  • Ensure that all people, change and culture and OH&S policies are up to date and reflect current regulatory requirements, and partner with senior leaders to ensure compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a Tertiary qualification in human resources (or similar) and proven experience and expertise in leading organisational culture, change management and industrial relations activities.
Professional Experience
  • Significant experience in a senior/leadership people and culture role,
  • Demonstrated success in building effective teams that deliver value
  • High capability to work in partnership with key stakeholders to achieve strategic goals
  • Demonstrated ability to lead self and others through complex and changing environments
  • Demonstrated experience implementing a business partnering model and/or agile project-based teams.
