Salary: Level A: $73,669* – $99,964 (*PhD entry level $93,130) or Level B: $105,232 - $124,958. Level of appointment is subject to the appointee’s research record, qualifications and experience.

The Opportunity

The appointee will work with a team of researchers in the Quantitative and Applied Ecology Group, the School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences at The University of Melbourne and the Arthur Rylah Institute (ARI). In this role you will contribute to research practices and other initiatives that strengthen knowledge sharing amongst Traditional Owners, Aboriginal community groups, other land managers and researchers, to care for country and improve environmental management.

This position is an exciting new initiative of the Faculty of Science and ARI that aims to help build the capacity of researchers within both institutions to engage meaningfully with Traditional Owners and to help create and maintain partnerships with Aboriginal communities that are reciprocal, delivering mutual benefit and grounded in two-way learning.
