Organisational Development Officers (1x Community Services - 1x Primary Health Care)

Job Description:

There are two Organisational Development Officer positions available, one role will report to the Executive Manager – Primary Health Care and the other role will report to the Executive Manager - Community Services.  These positions are responsible for high level operational support to the relevant departments including contract management, performance reporting and monitoring, health planning and development, research and analysis, operational activities, funding, compliance and other operational requirements.  

Responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor and support the implementation of quality management processes within  health & community services
• Monitor progress towards relevant targets and/or support and assist with completion of  all reporting by due dates in accordance with service agreements
• Assist with the preparation, submission and tracking of reports to funding bodies
• Support the development and lodgement of MoUs and other agreements, related compliance items, review dates and any other related tasks
• Assist with relevant meetings through minute taking, preparation and distribution and development of resources, documents, submissions and projects as required

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience
• Possess relevant qualification in the field of health, community services or business administration or at least 5 years’ experience in a business support role and/or contract management
• Experience in writing submissions and reports, and the development of organisational documents
• Proven ability to employ interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal), critical thinking problem solving skills in the work environment and to support others to problem solve challenging situations and issues
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise and handle complexity
• Demonstrated competence in the application and use of primary health software packages; or the ability to acquire such knowledge with ease

Practical Requirements
• Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence (Qld) – essential
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) – please note employment will be terminated where your application for a Blue Card is not approved, withdrawn or Blue Card is disqualified.
• Proof of qualifications and current registration (as appropriate) are to be provided prior to commencement of employment
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check (AFP)
• Work outside of normal hours of duty may be required
• Ability to travel within the geographic service area may be required
