About the job
The focus of this position is to contribute to the delivery of the University’s activities workforce targets under Swinburne University’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
Reporting into the Diversity Manager, this position will work across People and Culture and will form strong working relationships with key stakeholders in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student and staff engagements across Swinburne to enable the organisation to attract, retain and develop Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander talent, in line with Vision 2025.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • The ability to build networks and partnerships with diverse groups of people; to work collaboratively to achieve shared objectives and effectively handle conflict
  • The ability to gain the support and commitment of others to progress Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, retention and/or development initiatives

Pursuant to the Swinburne University Reconciliation Action Plan, the incumbent in this role will be entitled to a one off allocation equivalent to 20% of the staff member's salary for Professional Development activities.
