Your Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Partnerships Manager with brilliant relationship management skills to join our national team for a 13 month fixed-term contract and work 21 hours a week - the choice of days and hours are completely up to you!

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Premium Supporters, you’ll be responsible for prospecting interest and cultivating philanthropic support from high net-worth individuals, trusts, foundations and other partners for our programs and services including capital projects.

The primary objective will be to achieve individual and team revenue targets by securing, sustaining and growing financial and in-kind support from major donors and corporate partners.

On a day-to-day basis, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Achieve individual income targets by focusing on high-value private funding opportunities
  • Meet the overall team revenue targets by leveraging various fundraising opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a 12 month rolling sales plans by scoping he market and conducting research
  • Maintain all account information regarding supporters and prospects in our CRM system
  • Communicate reports in a timely and accurate manner using our CRM system

Requirements for success

  • 5-8 years’ experience in sales, preferably in community services within fundraising, sponsorships, corporate partnerships and/or major gift relationships
  • Results-driven, solutions-focused and well-presented client-service skills with impeccable attention-to-detail and timelines
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Good understanding of the competitive fundraising environment, as well as economic and market issues facing philanthropists and corporates in Australia
  • Proven ability to build strong, respectful and robust relationships, with a strong track record of achieving targets within set timeframes and limited resources
  • A team player with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, a high degree of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
  • Analytical, accountable and good financial acumen and interpretive skills
