Remuneration: $64,347 - 72,113 + superannuation + salary sacrifice

About the Organisation
AHCWA is the peak body for the 23 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs) in Western Australia. We are an evolving organisation that acts as a forum to lead the development of Aboriginal Health policy, to influence and monitor performance across the health sector, to advocate for and support community development and capacity building in Aboriginal Communities.

We advocate for the rights and entitlements of all Aboriginal people throughout Western Australia, at a local, regional, State and National level.

About the Opportunity
The AHCWA Health Programs team have a newly created Youth Program Coordinator opportunity!
 
As the Youth Program Coordinator, you will develop an Implementation Plan, inclusive of strategies and activities to execute the Western Australian Aboriginal Youth Health Strategy 2018 - 2023.
 
Your day to day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
* Assisting in the development of an evaluation plan and the evaluation of the WA Aboriginal Youth Health Strategy 2018-2023;
* Contributing to the implementation, review and evaluation of the strategy in collaboration with and support from the Aboriginal Youth Program Coordinator, AHCWA Youth Committee, Policy team and management team;
* Coordinating program initiatives and activities as identified by AHCWA's Youth Strategy;
* Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, timelines and succinct progress reports;
* Using baseline findings for benchmarking the strategy/setting targets and regularly incorporate feedback and other monitoring observations to the implementation plan to enhance effectiveness;
* Documenting progress with respect to implementation methodologies, effects and outcomes of activities to generate evidence for reporting, decision making, policy advocacy, up-scaling best practices and lessons to be drawn from the project.

To be successful in this position you will have experience in the planning, implementation and management of community development projects in collaboration with communities and young people, a strong understanding of youth engagement strategies and the ability to mentor Aboriginal youth within our sector.
