Job Description:

1 year Fixed Term Opportunity
Play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of the ILSC’s core functions
Salary $119,000 to $132,000 (plus 15.4% Super)

The Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the ATSI Act and subject to the PGPA Act. The ILSC assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to realise economic, social, cultural and environmental benefits that the ownership and management of land, water and water related rights can bring. The ILSC provides this assistance through the acquisition and management of rights and interests in land, salt water and fresh water country.
The ILSC is seeking a high performing business development and networking professional who will deliver in this exciting new opportunity to proactively identify, establish and maintain high level strategic relationships with key partners and co-investors, including; Indigenous Government, Not for Profit and Private sector organisations, to promote and leverage the ILSC’s core programs nationally.
The successful candidate will identify new investment proposals and business opportunities that will deliver economic, social, cultural and environmental benefits for Indigenous Australians.

Reporting to the Executive Director Program Delivery you will:
  • Proactively identify and establish a strategic network of partners and co-investors that the ILSC and its clients can access to deliver enhanced project outcomes including the development of an investors circle to support significant projects/initiatives
  • Proactively source and secure investment from the network of partners and co-investors to augment ILSC funding in Land acquisition, land management and water based projects as measured by agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Actively promote ILSC programs and initiatives to clients, partners and co-investors including representing the ILSC at a range of forums, conferences, meetings and events.
  • Contribute to research and opportunity analysis of new business and emerging market opportunities and support the development and delivery of strategies to facilitate ILSC investment in focus areas.
The preferred applicant will be engaged on a 1 year Fixed Term Employment Offer under the provisions of the ILC Enterprise Agreement. This role may be based in Adelaide, Brisbane or Perth.
