DFI Maintenance Supervisor

The Role
We are currently recruiting for a DFI Supervisor to support the delivery of Defence Fuel Installation Maintenance in Western Australia. You will be working Monday to Friday, predominately based at RAAF base Pearce or HMAS Stirling with regular travel to other Defence sites.  As the Supervisor you will be responsible for the scheduling and coordination of works for all DFI maintenance under the Defence Contract.

Further you will:

  • Supervise all in house trade staff and contractors
  • Assist with planning, scheduling and allocation of activities 
  • Prepare Alternate Funding Proposal submissions IAW the EMOS contract
  • Assist with project support in management of projects according to Defence requirements
  • Provide technical expert DFI advice and make recommendations to Defence on DFI asset performance, useful life and replacement
  • Develop and manage Consolidated Maintenance Plans (CMP) for each DFI site, including the Maintenance Agent Technical Maintenance Plan (TMP)
  • Ensure reporting and compliance activities are completed and maintained

Skills & Experience

  • Background in either Mechanical or Electrical discipline within hazardous area maintenance
  • Recognised Trade Certificate of proficiency as well as relevant state licence in the Electrical discipline
  • Previous experience in PTW systems, high risk activities and risk assessments
  • Basic knowledge of removal and handling of Hazardous Material
  • Proven experience in contractor and trade staff, and effectively allocate work loads
  • Basic understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management System SAP and HVS
  • Excellent computer, word processing and technical knowledge in Microsoft Office programs
  • Results focused with the ability to identify problems and issues and generate solutions
  • Excellent customer service focus and the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of stakeholders within Defence and the company
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability manage multiple and often conflicting priorities
