Ongoing role
* Full-time position (38 hours per week)
* Based in Sunshine Coast, QLD (this role would be required to work from any of the 4 offices on the Sunshine Coast)

About the Role
Due to our continued growth in the Region, Red Cross are searching for a passionate Employment Consultant. Working with a team of talented and enthusiastic Employment Consultants who seek to understand what drives our clients and will support them on their journey to find/return to meaningful and sustainable employment.
 
The role is "hands on", requiring Employment Consultants to actively market clients to employers and often work side by side in the support of clients during work trials and employment opportunities as well as ongoing post placement support.
 
What you will bring
* Evident in your application will be your previous experience working with challenging and diverse clients to achieve their goals
* Experience in the employment services industry will highly regarded but not essential
* You must have the ability to work on a one on one basis with clients to provide the relevant support and assistance to secure sustainable, ongoing employment opportunities. Assess, match and refer job seekers to appropriate job opportunities and to advocate directly to employers
* You will also have the ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs
* You have a natural passion and drive for helping people and to establish a rapport with employers, relevant community organisations, other stakeholders and allied health professionals
* This position requires superior communication, problem solving and negotiating skills, high level organisation and time-management skills to balance the demands of managing a caseload as well as engaging with relevant stakeholders
* A person centred approach is a must in this role as you work alongside other like-minded team members to ensure that our participants receive the best possible support to find and maintain employment
* Strong administration skills and IT Literacy, data entry and typing skills, Word, Excel and Outlook experience are highly desirable
