Regional Manager (Operations)/ North West

Job Description:

Broadspectrum is an operations, maintenance and construction services organisation, operating globally in the resources, energy, industrial, infrastructure, rail, property and defence sectors.   • Responsible for delivery of Asset Maintenance Services to a portfolio of 15,000 properties in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Norther Suburbs,Sydney.
  • Managing a diverse team in including operations, administration and a large subcontractor base to deliver works to tight KPI’s (timeliness, quality, safety & governance) and to budget. 
  • Able to interact and build relationships and influence at a senior level with a valued government client.


Reporting to the Operations Manager the purpose of the Regional Manager (Operations) role is to oversee, monitor and manage the P&L for the Region across all aspects of delivery to meet WHSE, KPI and financial outcomes as set out in the annual budget. Support the Operations Manager and Contract Management Team by driving operational, technical and contractual direction to staff and subcontractors. Develop, maintain and promote strong client relationships with LAHC management and collaboratively partner with LAHC’s Regional Asset Director to deliver safe, timely and cost effective services to their region.

 

The person we are looking for will currently be based in an Operational role where they are responsible for providing leadership to a large team driving excellence, innovation and profitable growth.

 

Position Requirements: 
Skills/Qualifications/Competencies

Must have at least one of the following formal qualifications: 

  • Certificate 4 in Building & Construction or Certificate 4 Project Management. 
  • Minimum 3 years management experience in a Maintenance, Facilities Management or Construction environment
  • 2-3 years’ experience managing budgetary spend and contract commercials

 

Technical Competencies:

  • Relevant and current trade experience and qualifications (e.g. Qualified Supervisor’s Certificate, Contractor/Builder Licence) preferred
  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • Current police criminal check
  • OHS General Induction to Construction Certificate
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook


Special Conditions:

  • Requires travel to different regional offices,client properties and subcontractor premises.
