Sustainability Analyst

Job Description:

Broadspectrum’s Whole of Australian Government contract provides building services for a portfolio of Government buildings in our care.  One of the critical components of this delivery is specialist Environmental Sustainability Services, which focus on improving energy efficiency. Traditionally based in Canberra, we have grown and expanded our team across to Melbourne, thus now is a unique and exciting time to join our growing Sustainability team.

 

About the role 
We are currently accepting applications for an experienced Sustainability Analyst, with a background in data analytics & reporting. This role is designed to deliver a range of data management, analytical and reporting tasks. The Sustainability Analyst will also play a key role in supporting the development and maintenance of data-frameworks, reports and analysis tools to aid the businesses strategic sustainability development pathway.

 

Applications are open to those who reside in Canberra and Melbourne. 

 

As the successful candidate in this role, some of your core responsibilities will include:

  • Source and combine data from multiple sources as required for analysis.
  • Interpret data, analyze results and depict trends or patterns in data sets and identify business opportunities.
  • Manage and deliver best practice environmental performance reports for multiple clients’ portfolios including, but not limited to: energy consumption; renewables; water; waste; carbon (co2) and other data metrics.
  • Ensure all reporting deliverables are delivered on time to a high standard
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data-frameworks, reports and analysis tools
  • Documentation of all analytical reporting processes and procedures to provide a robust risk management framework 
  • Support all client and internal audits (as required).

 

Ideally your experience should include: 

  • Relevant training and qualifications in Environmental Studies, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Information Technology and/or related discipline.  
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience with the use of PowerBI 
  • Skilled using Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and other contemporary data analysis tools 
  • An understanding of the EEGO Energy Efficiency in Government Operations (EEGO) policy is preferred but not necessary

  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders
