About Chief Operating Operator Portfolio

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) Portfolio is responsible for the University’s budget and financial performance, and the management of its property and capital.  It also delivers efficient and effective shared services in support of all aspects of the University’s business.

About the role

The Lead Support Analyst in the Academic Applications Management Team (AAM) will work with the AAM Operations Manager to manage the delivery of functional support services to users of student and academic applications systems. This will include management of support and operational requests through to resolution within determined service standards and protocols, monitoring and assessment of jobs to identify emerging issues and proactive liaison with users and stakeholders.

This position is also responsible for understanding and aligning with the University business cycle in order to anticipate customer needs, as well as internally publishing and communicating key dates and activities to the relevant team members.

This role will facilitate support and training functions and enhancement activities focusing on the student experience via our administrative systems to ensure our key systems are available, operational and fit for purpose.

About you

You will have:

  • Qualifications in IT, Business or other relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education.
  • Experience using ITIL methodologies to manage support and operational requests
  • Experience working in and leading cross functional and/or agile teams.
  • Strong verbal, communication and interpersonal skills; with proven ability to adapt appropriately to multiple stakeholders from varying contexts and the ability to coach team members in this area.    
  • Show evidence of adaptive leadership approaches where the customer is the focus and collaboration with multiple teams, a high performing culture and continuous improvement are the core values.
  • Self-driven, learning mindset emphasising a collaborative approach in a customer-focused, continuous improvement environment.
  • Demonstrable competency in prioritisation, problem solving and meeting tight timelines in a high-pressure environment.
