Health Clinical Placements Coordinator

* Part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed-term position until September 2022
* Based at the City campus, T2 - SE1classification, $107,263 (pro rata) plus superannuation

About the role
Are you an experienced placement coordinator with a background in nursing? Are you looking for a fast-paced, impactful role where you can add significant value to our students? If so, our Health Clinical Placement Coordinator role could be the right opportunity for you.

You will undertake a key role in coordinating clinical placements for students enrolled in our health programs, incorporating placements across nursing, allied health, aged care and dental. You will also provide regular support to students throughout their placements whilst collaborating with Health providers, Program Managers and Coordinators, ensuring an effective and positive working relationship.

In addition to the above, some of your accountabilities will include:
* Managing the collection, follow-up, and data entry of students' assessment forms throughout each placement
* Conducting assessment of students on placement where required and maintain ownership of assessment and certification of students
* Managing the distribution of requests for external placements, compiling and tracking offers received, and confirming placement offers
* Coordinating and maintaining efficient systems and processes relating to students' placement details, including placement allocations, placement dates, and ranges of experiences
* Managing day-to-day questions from students, Teachers and other external stakeholders relating to placement allocations and rostering

About you
With a background in placement coordination, ideally within nursing, you will be able manage conflicting priorities with ease whilst being able to effectively interact with students and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

We are also looking for:
* A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Bachelor of Nursing
* Proven ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
* Relevant experience and networks within industry (nursing specifically)
* Experience with Student databases, specifically InPlace and Placeright (formerly viCPlace)
* An understanding of the students at risk process, special consideration process and equivalent learning and assessment strategies
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills, presentation, facilitation and counselling skills
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the vocational education and training sector

The successful applicant will be appointed between a Teacher 2 (T2) - Senior Educator 1 (SE1) depending on qualifications. Salary Loading will be applied to $107,263 as a Senior Educator Level 1.
