Associate Director, Student Services


Job Description:

  • Full-time, Fixed Term position until April 2023
  • Salary Level HEW 10A + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
About You
Reporting to the Executive Director, Students, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management to ensure the provision of accessible and responsive student service and support at scale.  
The role is responsible for RMIT’s Student Connect, Student Counselling and Student Support operations.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
  • Extensive experience and expertise in a management role which required the exercise of a high level of independence, innovation and professional judgement, within a large and complex environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing effective and responsive teams with strong customer service focus and in supporting a workplace culture that values safety, inclusion and accountability.
  • Demonstrated senior leadership and management skills, including capacity to initiate, lead and manage change in a challenging and dynamic environment whilst achieving strategic and operational goals.
  • Extensive experience in developing, fostering and maintaining collaborative relationships as well as excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to diversity, inclusion and reconciliation.

The Students group shapes, designs and delivers key student services and experiences to prepare RMIT students for study, life and the global workforce.
