Your role                        

You will advocate for strategic initiatives that enhance the visibility of Australian cultural and creative industries on a global scale. Your strategic leadership will be pivotal in the development and delivery of international engagement projects.

 What does success look like?

  • Leading the international engagement team to deliver industry development activities and projects in line with the International Engagement Strategy
  • Providing strategic leadership and project expertise in the delivery of the Venice Biennale
  • Overseeing the development and delivery of international engagement projects and provide specialist advice to the Executive Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships and senior team
  • Partnering with the Director Research and Knowledge Management to deliver evaluation activities associated to international projects
  • Ensuring the International Engagement Consultants deliver on jurisdictional plans
  • Managing key relationships with international agencies and posts
  • Collaborating with key internal stakeholders to apply various expertise on projects

Job Requirements:

What we need from you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
  • Qualification in project management and experience in delivering successful international projects
  • Expert knowledge of the Australian and international arts landscape
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding leadership and relationship management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen paired with your resource planning and financial management skills
  • Demonstrated cultural competencies and experience working in First Nations, intercultural and intergenerational contexts
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally
