 ~~* Full-time, Continuing position
* Salary Level HEW 10A + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
* Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

About You
The Research and Innovation Business Partner provides strategic advice and support on the development and implementation of Research and Innovation initiatives aligned to the University Strategy, R&I Decadal Plan, College of Business & Law Strategy and College R&I Action Plans. The role works closely with College R&I leadership and is responsible for developing strategies for improving research performance, innovation oriented initiatives and identifying opportunities based on in-depth knowledge of research capability and capacity in the College. The incumbent is required to partner with teams across R&I and the College and engage key stakeholders in the pursuit of opportunities and work effectively as part of a matrix model.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

* Extensive experience in supporting research and innovation in an academic/research environment.
* Excellent business, financial and commercial acumen skills gained in a research environment/context with demonstrated ability to apply those skills to prepare business cases and key strategic documents.
* Demonstrated experience in implementing strategies for enhancing research performance.
* Strong business and data analysis skills, with demonstrated ability to present insights using high quality mediums.
* Demonstrated engagement, negotiation and influencing skills and a track record of developing deep partnerships.
* Demonstrated capability to build research quality through strategic, high quality initiatives that drive impact and are aligned to strategy.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing and facilitation skills.
* Demonstrated history of behaviour aligned to the RMIT values, leadership capabilities and professional capability framework.
