Job Description: ~~* Full-time, Fixed Term position until 31/07/2023
* Salary HEW 5 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
* Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
About The Position:
The Global Experience Officer is responsible for supporting and promoting a range of innovative global experience programs delivered overseas on campus, on country and online. These programs are designed to inspire our commitment to equip all student with the cultural intelligence required to tackle the global challenges of the 21st century.
This will be achieved through providing efficient and effective day-to-day administrative support to coordinator and managers. This position provides general advice and support to key stakeholders, including students, external and internal stakeholders by phone, online and face-to-face, escalating more complex enquiries as required. The position is required to assist global experiences with the promotion, admission, preparation and completion of our global experience programs and events. The incumbent will also provide broad administrative support for the office and events.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
* Experience in a customer service environment role handling administrative tasks.
* Demonstrated excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills including public speaking, the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and sensitively in cross cultural contexts, ability to negotiate and resolve problems.
* Demonstrated organisational and time management skills including ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities to complete tasks in a timely manner with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Demonstrated ability and capacity to engage new technologies, ability to use and learn relevant software and systems and proficiency using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets.
* Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively as a member of a team and to work with minimum supervision.

About the Portfolio
The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
The Education Portfolio plays a key role in empowering students to access education, participate actively in the life of the University and achieve successful and fulfilling lives beyond graduation.
